Critical Care

Do you know where to turn in the event of a pet emergency?

As a loving pet parent, you never want to see your four-legged family member in any kind of distress. Unfortunately, unexpected illnesses and sudden accidents can happen at any time. At All Pets Veterinary Center, we want you to know that you’ve got a dedicated team of experienced professionals in your corner.

Our facility is equipped to provide life-saving critical care at a moment’s notice. With staff members who are skilled in emergency medicine, we will quickly diagnose the problem and deliver care that is timely and effective. Most importantly, we’ll handle your companion’s case with the utmost compassion, doing everything within our power to achieve a positive outcome.

Some of the signs that your pet may require urgent medical attention include:

  • Difficulty breathing
  • Ingestion of a toxic substance or foreign object
  • Broken bones
  • Cuts, lacerations or puncture wounds
  • Vomiting or diarrhea lasting longer than 24 hours
  • Bleeding
  • Trauma, such as from a fall or being hit by a car
  • Swollen or tender abdomen
  • Difficulty urinating
  • Lameness
  • Disorientation
  • Foaming at the mouth
  • Convulsions/seizures
  • Loss of consciousness

If you notice any of these signs, seek help right away. At All Pets Veterinary Center, we always recommend calling ahead when an emergency occurs. This allows us to assess the situation, provide first aid instructions and prepare for your pet’s arrival. Of course, there are times when the nature of your dog’s or cat’s emergency would be better handled by an actual emergency center, in which case we will advise you of this on the phone, saving you critical time, and call ahead to let the ER center know you and your pet are on the way. All exotic animal emergencies will be cared for here.

We sincerely hope you never experience the need for emergency veterinary care. In the unlikely chance that you do, however, we want you to know whom to call. The team at All Pets Veterinary Center will be here to provide the highest level of care available.
